Summary

Size: 153,617 Square Feet
Type: Office and Parking
Definition: New
Budget: $30,000,000
Date Completed: January 2008

Description

M. W. VanderVeen Company served as the Owner's Representative for the Miller Canfield project. The building is a new, multi-story structure located in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. The 153,617 square foot building includes a bi-level parking structure and four floors of Class A office space. Prominent building features include the glass atrium at the face of the building, which highlights the view from South and Rose streets. Additionally, limestone and granite was used to disguise the above grade parking levels. Significant challenges faced by the project team included site constraints of occupied buildings, a neighboring building under simultaneous construction (the Greenleaf Trust building renovation) and the congestion of two prominent downtown streets.
